Do you Know?
A SWPPP is required before your construction project:
- Disturbs one acre or more of land
- Is part of a larger common plan of development
- Discharges stormwater into surface waters or through a municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4)
This requirement is outlined under the Florida Construction Generic Permit (CGP) and Federal NPDES program. Failure to implement a SWPPP is a violation and can result in stop work orders and fines. A large scale violation may even result in Arrest.
